Adult Psychotherapy
Maybe you've noticed that it's difficult to get up in the morning or that you are less interested in activities you used to enjoy. Perhaps you've noticed destructive patterns in your relationships with family members, friends or co-workers. Or perhaps it's an indescribable feeling that something is just not right.
Adults usually enter therapy because of a desire to change—whether it’s a desire to change unproductive behaviors, problematic relationships, or distressing moods and feelings. This wish to change can be a strong motivating force; the power and energy needed to effect change can be created through therapy and the therapeutic alliance with your therapist.
Conversations in therapy deepen understanding of distress and unproductive patterns of behavior. This new understanding and the tools you and I develop together can decrease distress and increase satisfaction with life. Therapy can be a vehicle of change.
Together, we can work through any issues, including:
-
depression
-
anxiety
-
job dissatisfaction
-
problems with co-workers
-
dissappointing relationships
-
parenting concerns

Studies have shown that therapy can be an effective way to address these and other conerns. Studies have also shown that the most important factor is the relationship between the client and therapist
